Molly E. Buie
Ms. Buie has been an associate attorney with Robert C. Seldon & Associates, P.C., since December of 2002, when she began her career as a lawyer. In that time, she has worked on a wide variety of cases involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She has participated in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia and other Circuit courts, jury trials in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, hearings before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and appeals to the EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations. Ms. Buie also has extensive experience representing clients in the administrative EEO complaints process and in replying to proposed adverse action, and is sought after both for her skills and for her dedication to individual clients.
Ms. Buie is a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers’ Association (MWELA) – a professional organization of attorneys who advocate for employees’ rights. She is also a member of the District of Columbia Bar’s Labor and Employment Law Section. She is admitted to the Bars of the United States Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia Circuit and the Seventh Circuit; the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia; the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado; and the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York.
Ms. Buie earned her J.D.,
cum laude, from the American University Washington College of Law in May 2002. She earned her B.S. in Political Science and an inter-disciplinary certificate in Latin American Studies from the University of Florida in 1997.
During law school, Ms. Buie received an Equal Justice Foundation Fellowship and performed internships with the American Civil Liberties Union and the Organization of American States. She also served as a student attorney in the Washington College of Law’s year-long International Human Rights Clinic, through which she represented clients seeking political asylum.
